THE CLEAN UP CHALLENGE
Where we will be focusing on detoxing our lives from the inside out!
Both Spiritually and Physically!
It’s time for your Mid Year pick me up!
Let’s all be honest with ourselves ... we all start off with great new year resolutions ...
like : read 1 book every month, hit the gym , lose 15 pounds. Watch less Netflix, spend more time outside . Interact with people and of course "getting off" Instagram ....
But then BOOM before you know it we are already hit in the face 👋🏻 with the Month of August!
Woah! Where in the world did the time go?! 😱
Fast forward 6 months later from January 2018 and you actually find that you gained more weight, read your Bible Less, spent countless hours on instagram and binged away on Netflix.
So now its time to get our act together before the end of the year sneaks up on you too!
This week I heard a really important quote and it says "Your daily choices turn into daily habits." ... Now, just let that phrase sink in for a moment .
It is so true... I mean just think about it .
You are in the exact spot your in because of the daily choices that you have made since January. Now , ponder about what you want your life to look like in 1 year from now. ..
**thought about it? **... okay , cool!
Do you believe that your current habits will lead you to your goal in 1 year from now if you continue making the same choices????
Most Likely NOT!!
But no need to cry over your pillow!
Your Mid Year Pick Me up Is Here!!!
Your Party has Arrived! And Boy, Oh Boy do we have a game plan for you !
The Month of August is all about making readjustments and putting order back into our lives!
So grab a pen and a paper and get ready to take some notes! Or now a days "copy" and "paste" this section into your notes on your phone 🙄
First thing first. We are going to turn your long term goal into a short term goal. This will help keep you on track, lift your motivation, and it will be the perfect push in the right direction!
1. In 1 month term, how do you want your life to be different by Aug. 31st?
Both Spiritually and Physically. Remember its just a one month time frame to get your needed pick me up. So don't go overboard and aim to read 100 books in 1 month if you haven't even read 1 in the past 5 years.After all, it only take 21 days to make a habit , and we have 31 days in this challenge! So...Helloooooo new lifestyle!
2. We are going to challenge you to do your devotional every day !
Really put it as a priority to get deeper in to God's Word. Tell yourself: I won't watch tv until I spend my daily time with God. You will see how diving into The Bible daily will really transform the way you think!
3. Pick Your Fasting! Its Time to de-clutter !
What do you spend most of your time doing or watching that is not really beneficial ?
Instagram? Video Games? Netflix ? TV?
It's time to say Buh-bye just for this month and give yourself a BREAK! . SO I highly advise you to delete the app meanwhile so your not tempted to go on it ! After all your so used to logging on to these accounts daily that your fingers automatically open up one of the apps listed above. Am I right?! * On a side note, one thing I would like to clarify is that just because you will be fasting social media does not mean you will be spending extra time on Netflix!
Use your time wisely to gain knowledge through reading The Bible, Books and Listening to Preachings online!
*you may also choose a specific food fasting as well *

4. Sanctify your life
Let's step away from everything that brings sin into our lives.
"Who can discern his own errors? Cleanse me from my hidden faults." Psalm 19:12
only you yourself know what your struggles and temptations are. Find a way to eliminate any future moments and strive to be free from any addiction!
The only way to sanctify one's life is to fill it more with the Word of God! This leaves no room for any unhealthy thoughts, habits or addictions!
So during these next 31 days we will be living according to Daniel 6 verse 10 ! But in order for you to understand verse 10 , I will give you a little bit of the background story first!
"7 We are all in agreement—we administrators, officials, high officers, advisers, and governors—that the king should make a law that will be strictly enforced. Give orders that for the next thirty days any person who prays to anyone, divine or human—except to you, Your Majesty—will be thrown into the den of lions. 8 And now, Your Majesty, issue and sign this law so it cannot be changed, an official law of the Medes and Persians that cannot be revoked.” 9 So King Darius signed the law.
10 But when Daniel learned that the law had been signed, he went home and knelt down as usual in his upstairs room, with its windows open toward Jerusalem. He prayed three times a day, just as he had always done, giving thanks to his God." Daniel 6:7-10
Why was Daniel 10x better than everyone else? Because He spent time in God's presence 3x Daily ! We encourage you to do the same during this month of August!
5. Now , lets get physical !
In this month's challenge we will also be giving you daily work out challenges to help you become the best version of yourself ! So you can feel and breathe better. Did you know working out daily results in living a longer life?!
In addition, each weekend for the month of August we will all be going out to enjoy the beautiful sunlight and raise our vitamin D intake (which affects your mood. and raises your happiness) , get in some exercise and spend quality time together! Woo Woo!
6. As well with getting physical, we are going to CHANGE OUR EATING HABITS too!
It's time to toss all that is packaged out the window! (more like into your trash can , but you get the idea). Lets avoid eating chips, candy, sweets, too many sauces and refrain from drinking all things sugary (uh hmm.. soda, concentrated juices, ect.)
at the end of the month you will feel so much better!
And don't worry , we know clean eating can be difficult especially when needing recipes to cook! So, we have a solution! Have you heard of Fitmen Cook ?!
